Two Kissimmee tickets win big bucks from the Florida Lottery

Two people have made the trek to Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee to redeem tickets purchased in Kissimmee.

Manuel Montrond, 55, of Kissimmee, claimed a $1 million prize in the Billion Dollar Blockbuster scratch-off game.

Montrond chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option $650,000. He is the 39th winner to claim a $1 million prize in the popular $20 game. There are 81 of the $1 million prizes remaining, as well as six of 10 of the top prize of $10 million.

Montrond purchased his winning ticket at Publix, 3343 S. Orange Blossom Trail.

Ramiro Soto, 47, of Bluffton, S. C., claimed the Saturday night Mega Money jackpot of $600,000, choosing to take a one-time, lump-sum payment of $430,460.61. He purchased his winning at Bravo Supermarket, 4108 W. Vine St.
