Feeling lucky? Not in Florida says Men’s Health magazine

Are you feeling lucky?

Well, according to Men’s Health magazine, if you do you’re in the wrong state.

Florida cities are some of the unluckiest in the nation, according to the magazine’s top 100 ratings.

Fairing best was Jacksonville at 69, followed by Orlando at 79.

The magazine’s definition of luck: the most winners of Powerball, Mega Millions and Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes; the most holes-in-one (PGA); fewest lightning strikes (including the fatal kind); deaths from falling objects (Vaisala Inc., National Climatic Data Center, CDC); and least money lost on lottery tickets and race betting (Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Considering we don’t have Mega Millions in Florida and we’re the lightning capital of the world, we didn’t stand a chance.

Ranked #1 was San Diego, followed by Baltimore, both with A+ ratings.

Jacksonville’s grade was C- and Orlando rated a D.

There were three other Florida cities on the list, all of which received an F grade: 92 Miami, 94 St. Petersburg and 99 Tampa.

Rounding out the list at 100 was Charleston, W.Va.
