Titusville woman reinvests money and wins $1 million Posted: 31 Oct 2011 11:59 AM PDT If you win a little money on a scratch-off ticket, do you stick the cash in your pocket or buy more tickets? For 67-year-old Catherine Pohl of Titusville, the decision to reinvest her winnings was a wise one. Pohl bought a $5 Florida Lottery Monopoly scratch-off ticket and won $20. She spent her winnings on a $20 Florida Millionaires Club ticket and scratched off a $1 million winner. She opted for a lump-sum payment of $700,000. The winning ticket was bought at Nidy’s Grocery, 2120 Garden St., Titusville. The Florida Millionaires Club ticket launched Jan. 11 and there is still one $3 million prize and three $1 million prizes yet to be claimed. |
