| Melbourne man claims Mega Money jackpot Posted: 13 Dec 2011 07:14 AM PST Rudolph Sotelo celebrated Christmas a little early this week. He went to Tallahassee to claim at $500,000 jackpot prize in the Florida Lottery’s Mega Money game. At 78 years old, the Melbourne resident opted to take a one-time, lump-sum payment of $401,418. He bought the ticket at the Publix at 3200 Lake Washington Road in Melbourne. It marked the 12th time that a jackpot-winning Mega Money ticket has been purchased in Brevard County since the game was changed in January 2004. Total ticket sales for this drawing generated more than $311,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
