$1 million scratch-off ticket sold in Lake County Posted: 11 Jul 2011 01:10 PM PDT A Marion County woman is the first $1 million winner in the new Florida Lottery $10 Monopoly scratch-off game, but she had to drive to Lake County to accomplish the feat. Linda Baker, 56, of Fort McCoy, claimed a $1 million top prize in the game today at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. Baker chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option of $700,000. She purchased her winning ticket at Altoona Discount Store at 42429 U.S. Highway 19 in Altoona. The game launched on July 5 and offers more than $89 million in total prizes, including 10 top prizes of $1 million and more than 3.6 million prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000. Nine of the $1 million top prizes remain. |
